Art4Aid

Art4Aid - our annual art comp - is back again!
Our '08 categories offer you the chance to paint, sculpt or photograph in the Art Prize & Exhibition, design a stirring Bumper Sticker, postcard or Tee-Shirt and do something 'reel' in our a multimedia short film comp.

This year, we've capped the age limit for Art4Aid at 25. Born before 1983? Don't distress, check out Create To Advocate

Our 2008 Theme: Stop Child Labour

250 million children work to secure essential income for themselves and their families.

For us, ‘the poor and oppressed’ includes the 250 million children who work to secure essential income for themselves and their families, children traumatised by war, scarred by debt bondage, slavery or sexual exploitation.

Poverty, exploitation and violence are not inevitable. We want you to challenge the unjust structures that constrain the poor in a world of false priorities, gross inequalities and distorted values.

World Vision has always been willing to take a stand when the rights of children are in danger. The United Nation’s Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted in 1989.
It proclaims that all children have the right to survival, the right to food, the right to family, the right to cultural and indigenous identity and the right to education.

Are you willing to stand with us?

Create To Advocate

Create To Advocate 08

Create to Advocate is an arts comp run by the Micah Challenge & the Make Poverty History (MPH) coalition. The competition asks Australian artists of all ages to respond to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

It is seperate to STIR's Art4Aid, although there the two competitions are similar and you're free to enter both if you like. Whilst you must be under 26 to enter Art4Aid in 2008, Create to Advocate is open to artists of all ages.
